    i have an averatec 2260 EY1 laptop.

i want to replace the keyboard.
but i can't find the screw in the back to unlock the keyboard from the laptop.

    any advice?
any website on how to dismantle the averatec notebook hardware?

Is there a plastic bezel to lift up before you can access the screws? On a lot of laptop you have to remove a plastic piece (usually laptop wide) at the base of the screen before you can remove the keyboard.

i don't know if you've solved it yet, but this is what I would do.

Un screw every screw, and carefuly document where they went. I took apart an averatec once, and it comprised of two screws ( a short and long one) I just color coded them and their holes with a washable marker.

Then wiggle things around, don't pull too hard, but try and wiggle things off. The Averatec keyboard I took off slid into place. There were no latches or what not ( maybe there were screw holes, but I took them out.... so i don't remember ) Don't forget you will have a cable to unplug.

    I hope this was helpful
