This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The admins don't censor words just for the fun of it...there are actually reasons why. Like obviously swear words are censored, and the word "m-e-t-a" (without the dashes) is also censored as it can be used by hackers.

    Were you trying to write "overclocking"? Because in the "Latest Laptop Discussion" section there are only four letters between Over and ing. Clock is 5 letters. And if you made a typo and forgot the "l" on "clock", you should realize why it was censored ;).
