    infinity 330 cpu swap

    Hi
    I Own The Infinity Model 330 Laptop it is fitted with a 1.6/2m/533 cpu SL86G
    I also Owned another laptop with the SL7SA 1.73/2m/533 cpu in which i damaged the screen on so stripped it for spares my question is if anyone can help out there can i swap the 1.6 and replace it with the 1.73 cpu without any problems? any help would be fantastic

    They are both Pentium M processors. Yes you can upgrade the 1.6Ghz Pentium M to the 1.73Ghz Pentium M.
    You will have no problems doing this. Just make sure to reapply good thermal paste like arctic silver and fasten everything together properly and everything will work flawlessly. Your system may run a tad hotter, but you can always undervolt it a bit.
