    with the newest samsung or the new sata 300 western digital. i can get both for the same price. it seems the wd is faster in most tests by a slight margin but the sammy uses less power and is nearly as fast,, what would you do.. ive never been a fan of sammy drives myself.. but this new one looks interesting

    I would go with the Samsung. I have had a few bad runins with Western Digital in the past, so I do not buy from them anymore.

    No experience with reliability, so I would go for the one that uses less power.
