Hello. I have both the above processors. I was wondering why the 2640m (42fps) gets twice as much fps on NoxEmulator compared to the 2670qm (23fps cores)?

    specs for both:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...r-6m-cache-up-to-3-10-ghz/specifications.html

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...r-4m-cache-up-to-3-50-ghz/specifications.html

    Playing Epic Seven

edit - I was under the impression that more cores = better. But now I'm not so sure. I'm planning to buy a $3k computer with the most cores.... think its the I9 now but perhaps I should re-think things?

edit - than again, without playing an emulator, like on steam, both are getting 60fps.....

Try disabling hyperthreading with the quad, not sure how much of an issue it is anymore but back in the day it used to be the case that some applications were adversely affected by hyperthreading cores. Maybe the emator your using doesn't jive well with it.

Thanks for the reply. I think that requires me going into the bios right? I"ll give it a try to see what it does. But I did come up with a solution.

I need to stop comparing fps with emulators. I"ll stick with actual pc games. It much easier to compare the 2 processors this way....
