    i have an Asus X5DIJ which is only a few months old but i accidently got knocked of a coffee table.Next time i switched it on the screen was just flickering,so i opened it up and found that the cable from the screen to the motherboard was the problem.
    Has anybody got any idea where i can purchase a new cable,as i've tried several dealers etc and have had no joy.

    Is the cable cut in half? Can't you simply re-connect it?

    No. Ive pulled the outer insulation back and the are about a dozen insulated wires inside. One or more of these seem to have broken so it would be better if i could jusr fit a new cable

    Many thanks for the ebay link. I had looked on ebay but couldn't find one but with your link "bingo".So i ordered it and paid for it and then the next day they said they hadn't got one
