    Hi All,

Looking at upgrading my laptop... The Toshiba U400 seems nice and want to upgrade it when i puchase it. The system appears to be using the G45 express chipset and supports 1066fsb... what i need to know it what is the absolute fastest cpu it could take... heat is not an issue..... just bios/mainboard support..

    thanks,

    josh

If you can support a Quad, you can usually support an Extreme and vice-versa, since their heat and power figures are about the same. I'd say there isn't sufficient cooling or power circuitry for either though, given that is a 13" laptop. The fastest thing you can get otherwise is a T9800, but depending on what you have now, I'd recommend like a P9600 or P9700.
