    external graphics cards for laptops?

    ok so i was wondering if there are any external graphics cards for laptops ?

    for example say if i bought a laptop with integrated graphics because it was cheaper and i couldn't get the one i wanted in the laptop
    could i get an external graphics card and then use the laptop for gaming?

    However there isn't much information about it, such as the bandwidth capabilities and the overall effectiveness. As well, it's not confirmed if its proprietary.
