    I wouldn't trust those cheapo optical drives. I've been using a slim Samsung for 1.5+ years, very good but angry that I bought it for 80 almost 2 years ago and now it's 45 on sale.

    You know the saying: you only buy quality once? I too wouldn't recommend to go cheaper.

    Tsunade, $35 'rent' for 1 1/2 years of use is not a good deal for you?

    Heh well isn't not shiny and new (plastic?!?) anymore. But the cheapest optical drive we used to carry at my workplace was 55 and that was our store brand which was crap. I would pretty much recommend only Samsung or LG optical drives, I would avoid the pretty Sony ones.

    Never said 'pretty' or 'expensive' was quality.
