I just received my Siig Type 54 esata Expresscard.

I installed the drivers and everything works fine, but can you tell me if I am getting the full speed out of the esata connection ?

I ran HD Tach on my Internal Sata drive and the Burst Rate was 221. MB / s well over esata 150, and it's read speed was 64 mb/s.

The external esata drive Burst speed was 120. MB/sec with a read speed of 65 MB/s.

Granted much faster than the 33. MB/sec I was getting with USB 2.0 but why would the burst speed of the internal be nearly twice as fast since both are esata ?

Google 'what is burst speed' and it should be explanatory from there.
