hihi, so i was dead set on the asus f8sv until i found out it has no hdmi. however it does have a dvi port.

what i would LIKE to do is download HD movies on my laptop, and play them on my HD tv in full 1080P. now im quite sure that hdmi is the only way to transport a 1080P signal. but i do know that there is a DVI to HDMI adapter that i could get for the asus.

    so two questions.
    1. what format will this dvi to hdmi adaptor send to my tv (720p, 1080i, or 1080p)?
    2. how do i get the audio portion of the HD content to output to the tv? will the adaptor take care of this?

thanks a lot, and sorry if this is the wrong forum, didnt really know where else to post this.

    1. Whatever resolution you want to output with the GPU.
    2. 3.5 mm Audio jack.
