OK! so i have narrowedit down to 3 choices based on price, and the 120-128gb capacity.

    Amazon.com: Intel Solid-State Drive 330 Series 120GB SATA 6Gbps 2.5-inch SSD - SSDSC2CT120A3K5: Computers & Accessories

    ^^^ Intel 120 gb 330 series

    http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-I...UTF8&qid=1342716499&sr=8-6&keywords=intel+ssd

    ^^^ crucial 128 gb

Amazon.com: SanDisk Extreme SSD 120GB GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s2.5-Inch Solid State Drive- SDSSDX-120G-G25: Computers & Accessories

    ^^^sandisk 120 gb extreme

which would you highly recommend over the other and why? i want to stay within this price range as well so if there is a better suggestion in this range please lemme know. but is there really a difference between all of them? my new lappy should be here in a week, max 2 and would love to have this ready to go when it arrives. thank you

    Samsung 128GB PM830:

    http://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7PC128D-AM/dp/B005T3GPXE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1342717636&sr=8-3&keywords=samsung+pm830

I'd recommend digging out some reviews and comparisons to the drives you've listed and see what makes the most sense.

Also note that the Sandisk and Intel units you've linked above use the SandForce SF2281 controller, which some people have had issues with in the past, though supposedly fixed by firmware updates.

The Samsung and Crucial use different controllers, the Samsung is its own design and the Crucial uses a customized Marvell controller.

Of the three you have listed I would recommend the Crucial m4. I have one and so far no problems whatsoever. Alternately, the Samsung 830 recommended by shrike4242 will be a very good choice also.

Pick the cheapest one. Avoid SF if you have to, personally I think they are fine and their price are pretty competitive.

Watch out for deals , should be able to get for sub 100.
