    hi!

    i accendenitly fall my coffee over my xps1530, and the keyboard does not respond anymore.

    can i call dell to make run the warranty ?

    the xps 1530 is waterproof isn't it ?
    waterproof warantty runs only for water accident or any liquid ?

    does it already appen to anybody ?

    Hi, the waterproof warranty is for any liquid. But make sure the warranty you actually have covers for liquid spills or not.

    it will be accidental damage warranty... normal warranty doesn't cover this all.. u need this extra damage warranty..

    If you did not pay extra for the accident warranty, Dell will not do anything and you will need to clean the notebook yourself.

    warranty coverage is likely to be different in France than in the US. The OP clearly needs to call Dell.

    And let this be a lesson to anyone else that likes to drink while computing. I spilled an entire glass of Gatorade onto my computer and wept like a baby. The only good thing is that is was a used computer (but my only one at the time), and I expected to buy a new one soon anyway.

    Suffice it to say, I learned my lesson and now always keep my drinks out of range of my computer. Another caveat if you must, is to keep the liquids lower than the computer.

    This. I have my laptop on a raised piece of glass as well as the laptop itself being raised...so HOPEFULLY if I ever do spill something it wont even touch the laptop...

    Liquids and laptops DO NOT mix and should both be treated as so.
