    Hi,

    I've have acer travelmate 5330 with (socket P) Celeron M 575 on GL40 chipset ( 667 fsb).

I want to upgrade my cpu with a dual core processor ( T8300 ) 800mhz cpu will run on a 667mhz bus?
    and my ram is ddr2 667 mhz , i wondering can i take ddr2 800 mhz or maybe even ddr3 800mhz ?
    thank you

GL40 chipsets tend to be gimped, I don't think you can get Core 2 Duo's to work. There is no point of RAM faster than 667 as the chipset is limited to 667 and DDR3 will not work.

Why not consider a new laptop? You can find Ivy Bridge laptops for under 400 dollars these days new..
