    Alright do you apply Artic Silver 5 to CPUs or GPUs? Someone told me that AS5 was the thermal compound for GPUs...

    Yeah. Powernotebooks gives you a tube of it with your laptops. I thought it came pre-applied, but I got a tiny little syringe in my bubble-wrap when I got my laptop. I don't have the patience (or the parents that would understand why in god's name I'm taking apart my $$$ laptop). I think I could do it, since I build models a lot and it too is detail work, but I don't trust myself enough with it. 2 degrees C isnt worth mis-applying it and frying the thing.
