Just upgraded my memory from 1GB to 2GB. Checking memory in "Control Panel / System" it looks like I only have 1.93GB's. On the other hand, when I look at "my computer / help / about windows," it appears I have 2,030,116KB. Why the discrepancy in these two numbers. Am I getting full "bang for the Buck" from my upgrade?

    Thanks
    DFS

My guess would be that your IGP is taking 64MB of ram for the graphics so you're left with roughly 1.93GB of ram for system use.

^^^ You got it! Now if Intel and Go 7200 that does have some shared memory also so that is where it likely is.

Ya I think your control panel is reporting 1.93GB that you can actually use.
My computer is reporting the total ram you have, including the video ram.
    Don't worry about it.
