    Hey guys...
I just re-built my D820; I believe it has just the integrated gfx (945) with a Core 2 Duo T7200 with 3gb of RAM.
    I also have a X120E with the E350 (4gb of ram)

Can either computer handle everyday computing with relative ease + HD videos? IF so, which one is better? ( I dont use it much so power consumption shouldnt be a big factor)

    thanks!

The D820 has ~55% more cpu power than the E-350 based X120E, but both should be able to do what you want (depending on the gpu on the 820).

Especially if you have an SSD installed (made a HUGE difference to the E-350 I was using... along with the 8GB RAM & Win8x64).

Assuming the 820 has the gpu power - that is the one I would use.

As long as that crappy Intel 945 can play your HD video files - you're better off with it (especially if you're HDD based).

E350 has some issue playing Silverlight (well really Silverlight that isn't optimized for AMD) which is what Netflix uses, otherwise most other Flash and HTML 5.0 sites play it well.

Oh and just as a reference, I use an older 11" notebook with a Pentium (core 2 duo really) SU4100 as an HTPC in my kids' room, and it streams HD perfectly well. Here's CPU comparison: ARK | Compare IntelĀ® Products

Hopefully it at least makes you feel better about your choice. :)
