I know what your thinking " Oh my God, another noob [X] " Lol, but I never worried about all my specs and such because I never had a problem with any games but sims LOL yes sims was lagging, I know I'm above minimum requirements, but I like running my games on max graphics, and I also have a shizload of custom content and mods for it. and I want to decrease the loading time because its slower then a fat kid with a broken leg, and also stop the occasional lag, and I know a processor could help, ofcourse, but good ones cost to much and I don't care that much for my laptop so, right now I'm running

Btw, I don't use this for my gaming computer, my computer is at home is maxed out and costed thousands of Mula but I run sims on my laptop because well, I use it when I go out and I do that frequently.

    64-bit Windows 7 Premium
HP - Compaq HP G61 Series
Processor: AMD Athlon II Dual-Core M300 2.00 GHz (I know don't say it.)
    RAM: 3.00GB (2.75GB usable)

Ok, And I'm just wondering if 1GB more would help my game performance and decrease loading times (Only 1GB because that's all my laptop can handle is 4 or I would max it more). And for those who wondering I don't know if it matters but my C: Drive has 219GB Memory. Thanks :D

More RAM might help your game performance overall, but it won't appreciably help loading time; that's a hard drive function. If you want increased loading times, you'll want to look into a better hard drive.

We'd need to know what hard drive you have in there now, first, so we know what we're building off of. A SSD is an "obvious" choice, but we have no idea what kind of budget you're looking into for upgrades (nor how much room you use on your drive).

LOL Am not getting a SSD, way to expensive by the gb, but I'm only currently using 84GB of my hard drive but obviously I need some wiggle room, I did a speccy check and idk but it says on hard drives 244GB Toshiba Toshiba MK2555GSX ATA Device (SATA) ? Well yeah there you go, and at this moment I'm looking for something good obviously, at a decent price (duh) I don't really have much of a price range. Just not outrageous like SSD prices.

Hm. Ok, that's a 250 GB 5400 RPM SATA II drive. Yeah, we can improve quite easily on that. Simplest recommendation is a 500 GB 7200 RPM drive (best choices being a WD Scorpio Black or a Hitachi 7K500). Those will run you about $60-$70. You could also try looking for a single platter (250 GB) version of the same, which will be a bit cheaper (maybe $40-$50). Other options, if you want to go with higher capacity, include the Samsung Spinpoint MP4 (640 GB at 7200 RPM), or the new 750 GB 7200 RPM drives (WD Scorpio Black again, and Seagate Momentus).

As well, if you're willing to spend a little more money, there's also the Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive (around $100 for the 500 GB version), which has a large (4 GB) NAND SLC cache that can significantly improve boot times, as well as the load times of frequently used programs (if you have a very regular set of habits). There is also a 250 GB single platter version of that as well.

Basically, an upgrade to a 7200 RPM drive will enhance your loading times nicely, and a higher area density drive (basically, a larger drive) will do the same.

Alright I can deal with $70 So WD Scorpio Black or the Hitachi 7K500? Oh and would the Hard drive or the Ram be better for the game? (I already ordered the Ram) So I can call them and cancel it now, because for now the most I can spend is around $150 and I don't feel like blowing it all on computer .

Fielder's choice. They're both good drives, and you probably won't notice a huge amount of difference between either. The Hitachi is likely to be a little quieter, and the WD has a better warranty.
