    Looks good, you'll see a nice performance boost with those components.

    I would recommend getting an external 2.5" hard drive enclosure as well - then you can use the hard drive you're replacing as an external storage HDD. Plus, it is good to hold on to as zazonz stated.

    Thanks guys, just wanted to get those confirmed before I clicked the "Order" button.

    Yea, I'm definitely going to be leaving the 40GB drive in the laptop bag I'm planning to buy for extra storage purposes and obviously if I have any issues with the laptop I have to contact Fujitsu for...

    As for the 7200RPM, after reading a few different articles and posts I just thought the price difference between the 5400 and 7200RPM drives doesn't warrant the price difference especially since I don't plan on doing anything that requires that kind of speed. I am running a 4200rpm HDD on an old Dell Inspiron 7500 and for everyday use, it's not too slow. :)

    The external hard drive enclosure is cheap enough so I will most likely invest in one for the 40GB.
