hi y'all. i'm a newbie when it comes to this computer tech stuff. i'm just trying to figure out what kind of m.2 ssd will be compatible with the new desktop i bought. i'll be using it for music production and recording big sessions. if i can't use an m.2 ssd as my boot drive then i guess i'll have to return it and go back to the drawing board. i know for a fact i can't really use a SATA because there are no more slots and i guess i can't use NVME because it would throttle soo idk...this is the computer

    The expansion slot details say:
    • One M.2 socket 1, key A
    • One M.2 socket 3, key M
Wikipedia explains the different types of M.2 sockets and here is another explanation. The SSD socket on the board is the one with the M key. The discussion here suggests one type and here is another relevant discussion. Both talk about NVMe SSDs and it's unclear to me if the socket supports SATA SSDs.
