    Hi,

I want to upgrade my l502x dell laptop HD screen to a FHD one. I've researched about that exact part number AUO B156HW01 v4 (matte) and I only found compatible ones. I know that currently is really hard to find one.

Anyone knows any seller (no matters if is new or used). Otherwise, I can buy a cheapest compatible one from eBay (about 65 euros) but I dont know if the quality is too poor. I've never tried it.

    thanks

Since that panel has been out of production for 8 years or so and has been very popular, it's virtually impossible to find now. Your best bet would be to look on ebay for Thinkpads of the T510, T520, T530, W510, W520, & W530 series with a 1920x1080 screen, as those models were all equipped with the specific screen you're looking for.

Thank you. It will be difficult to find someone who only sells the screen but thanks.

And, what about the compatible ones like: http://www.ebay.es/itm/NEW-DELL-XPS...117087?hash=item231ac7309f:g:OLsAAMXQVT9TDHRx Which is the problem whith that type of screens? thanks

There's no problem with compatible screens, in the sense that they'll power on and function correctly. But there are reasons to avoid them if you want something specific.

The potential differences between an exact screen and a compatible one are the color gamut, brightness, contrast, and viewing angles. Since each screen model has its own set of specifications, a compatible screen may not have the advantages of the specific screen you want. For instance, the screen model you specified has been popular for its wide color gamut, fairly uniform brightness, and good viewing angles. There's no guarantee that a compatible screen would have the same qualities.

So, for example, this can be a genuine one? http://es.aliexpress.com/store/prod..._1&btsid=462bcd66-b0e6-45a9-93c6-19acbef14955

    or

    http://es.aliexpress.com/store/prod..._1&btsid=462bcd66-b0e6-45a9-93c6-19acbef14955

I've asked the seller but I don't know how true can it be.
