What do you use on your laptop? Skins, Sleeves or just a bag?

Obviously anyone with a laptop will have a laptop bag to carry it in. I use a sleeve as well cause it protects the laptop from scratches that it can catch from other stuff in my bag. Skin is a nice idea for the cover but not a big deal, cause I think the covers are pretty hard to scratch up if you take good care of it. BUt I ordered one today just cause its leather and black.

i just use bag and sleeve

i never liked the idea of having to put Skins on laptop, because of the stickies, and when you want it off, it will surely leave a mark

even a good quality skins will at least leave some dirt mark on your laptop from the stickies they use

so just a sleeve and a bag for me

I just use my Swiss army backpack which has a basic laptop pouch. I have 3 sleeves from Dell that came with the laptop but they've always been forgotten.

I use the Tom Bihn sleeve and Brain Bag and I have a skin-it laptop skin with the image of Mara Jade Skywalker on the lid of the laptop.

    Sleeve + bag:

Without the sleeve my notebook would have a lot more wear and tear and might be damaged in a few places, even though I'm careful. The WaterField sleeve is neoprene inside and ballistic nylon outside . . . my notebook looks brand new despite the fact I take it everywhere.

Agreed thats why i think a sleeve is essential. My old laptop i just threw it in the bag but always worried dust and gunk from my bag might get in the vents of the laptop. With the sleeve its much more protected.

I find it really inconvenient to be taking a laptop in and out of a sleeve, so I just use a backpack with a dedicated laptop pocket. Seems to work well enough; I haven't really noticed any excessive wear and tear on any of my machines, but mileage probably varies depending on laptop.

i just use a bag from hp which came free with the laptop.. i'm too lazy to use a sleeve and hardly take my laptop anywhere... of course once uni starts with moving around and all , i might consider a sleeve.
