So before people ask me to do some research, I will say that I have two in mind because I found these to be, imo, the best value for money -

120GB Corsair Force Series GT link

60GB Corsair Force Series 3 link

I do not think I will be using more than 60GB frequently. I play a game at a time, finish it, uninstall and install the next one. So it will basically be a game, may be two, the OS and a few songs (not exceeding 2GB) that will be on the SSD. I believe those will fit on a 60gig drive. I will probably purchase the 120GB though unless the MIR isn't available anymore because with the MIR, the price of the 120GB is only $25 more than the 60GB.

However, do you guys have any others in mind that you have used or have had an experience with and have liked a lot and have thought is really good value for money? Oh btw I do have a 7.2k 500gig for all other purposes and a 1TB external.

I think many will recommend the Crucial M4 as there's a price war at the moment. It's also a fast and reliable model.

It's even listed for a few dollars cheaper than the Corsair on Amazon and the M4 is a fan favorite here at NBR.

It's a pretty good time to be buying an SSD. Got my 256GB for $220 a little over a week ago. Most expect them to keep getting cheaper.

Okay thanks. I will probably get the Crucial 128 gig. The link Rory provided looks good for about 6 days so I will probably buy it some time towards day 2 :p

Just received my 5th SSD in the past year.

One C300 and 3 m4s in 128, 256, and with the lower prices my first 512 GB this week. The loan holdout was a good deal on a new lenovo X220 with the Intel X25 installed at the factory.

Obviously I am happy with the m4s in the SATA III capable computers.
