Does anyone see a weird price on Samsung 840 Pro on Amazon? The 840 Pro 256 GB version is twice as expensive as the 850 Pro 256 GB (and even more expensive than 850 Pro 512 GB). The same is happening on Newegg. Does it happen to everyone or does my laptop have malware or virus? I see the same thing using my iPhone and iPad.

This is for people who shop based on price (i.e. more expensive=somehow better). Buyer beware...

An informed buyer knows that price is just a tool. Good or bad isn't intrinsic... almost every other aspect about the product will affect if the price is favorable or not (even when more expensive is actually better).

This happens all the time with products that are end of life or discontinued. There is nothing wrong on your end.

Indeed, the 840Pro is TLC junk too so avoid it.. 850 pro or a better option is the 240GB Sandisk Extreme Pro..

I made an account just to reply to your idiotic post. I don't know how someone who's been so active here can be so ignorant, but Samsung 840Pro uses MLC not TLC. If this is the level of knowledge senior members can offer, I pity anyone who comes here asking for help. o_O

Geez thats harsh. Hes not an expert at ssds, but he is at other topics.

I would recommend just ignoring that pricing Op the product is outdated who knows why its happening.

Sorry but I hate when people are blinded by their obvious hate for a product/technology. And one doesn't need to be an expert to do his basic research before making such an asinine claim.

Hahaha, you are right about the hatred. A lot of the LGA purests around here get extremely heated about products. They tend to have the most aggressive signatures and statuses.

I made a mistake ok? No need to act like a dick.. Or are you but hurt that TLC is not as good as MLC? I've been around since when the 1st SSDs came out, they were SLC... Downgraded to MLC and not they want to downgrade to TLC? They can go to hell!
