    Weird HD Tune Result of Intel 510

    I believe that slow sectors are that which already were written.

    If your using HDTune 2.55, update. There is improved SSD support on the latest version 4.60. I think that might be the problem here.

    Try the newest version and then post. I have an Intel 510 and will run it on mine too.

    I just tried HD Tune Pro 4.61. I found if I set the block size to 64K, the weird thing also occurred once, but not every time. If I set to 8M, nothing weird.

    That is much better. I just did a clean install but can't get either version to run. It starts to load and then stops. I am not sure why. Your results look much better and consistant. I will keep plugging away to get results on mine.

    HDtune was originally designed for spinners.

    I suggest CrystalDiskMark or AS-SSD.

    Never see anybody use it but I would think ATTO would be good also, it was very popular with usb flash drives, so why not full size flash disks?
