I'd like to upgrade my Asus F3Jc to C2D T7200 so I opened it and there is that Warranty void if removed or broken label. The thing is, I can lift the label from the screw and unscrew it without a problem not damaging label at all. Should I do it or not? If something stops working and I send laptop for repair, will they find out? Any hidden tricks?

    Thanks

If you upgrade the processor, then you are voiding the warranty. A processor upgrade doesn't generally result in a performance increase, unless you are completing processor intenisve tasks on the notebook. I would advise against upgrading, and consider investting the money into either more RAM or a faster hard disk. They wil provide a better performance boost, that will certainly be more noticible.

OK, I'll go for more RAM instead and eventually for faster disk, thanks.

yeah they can probably find out, the screw might have some "paint" lost when u were unscrewing/screwing it. the screw may not be as tight or tighter than they had it. its not like they will surely look but there are ways to find out usually.
