Ok, here is my problem. I want to upgrade my laptop,s memory.

The available stick,s speed is DDR2 800. Can it work with my motherboard. 533 or 667 is not available. This is Toshiba satellite M 70.

I have attached CPU, MOtherboard and current memory info from SIW.

    Thanks

Your system does use DDR2 memory. You can install PC6400 memory which runs at 800MHz, but the memory will downclock to Pc5300 speeds when installed. The chipset in your laptop maxxes out at 667Mhz, so the fastest the memory can run is Pc5300 speed.

Just save the few dollars and get Pc5300 memory (667MHz)

Sure The 800Mhz memory will work fine.
All memory cards have to comply with JEDEC standards, which in short means it has to be compatible with lots of machines. So the memory can automatically clock down to 667Mhz speed of 533Mhz speed.
