    Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the external drive. Can you run an extended test with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and post what the results were? You can download it from here:

Let me know how it went. :)

Thank you for adding pics to the post. :)

RAW format usually means the OS can't read / doesn't see any information in the MBR/partition table to recognize any data, so it might be corrupted/erased.

So, if the problem with the drive is not simply a logical error but is a manifestation of physical damage, then the more you use it and try to repair, the worse the damage may become. To minimize the risks, I would suggest to take the drive to a professional who is experienced in this type of repair. Here's a list with WD Recovery partners you can use:

Hope this helps and best of luck! :)

Please have a look at the following link:
    http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
PhotoRec is part of another program called Testdisk that can aid in recovering lost partitions as well.

This is a completely free program distributed under GNU General Public License (GPLV v2+).

I'm wondering what results you find? Be ready to let this run for a lengthy amount of time. Good Luck.
