I just bought a new laptop and I was wondering if I will be able to run the Windows Vista Aero GUI. It has integrated graphics, so this is why I ask. I have 1024mb ram, and I can upgrade, but my question is whether or not I could run the interface on my computer. My processor is a 1.73ghz Centrino Duo, and as I said before I have 1gb ram. Will the interface be able to run off my ram? If I upgraded to 2gb, would it run? Thanks

If it's an Intel GMA 950, Radeon Xpress 200M, or Nvidia 6150 graphics, it should be able to run the Aero GUI but anything below that will probably struggle.

It should handle it. Dell advertises a lot of their laptops that have the 950 and they *say* as of now that they will work. I don't know if we can totally know what to expect. It's more or less a guess right now. Once Vista is out and people try it on their Acc 950 you will be sure to find out. You can easily wait untill then with an "I don't know".
