    Im working on my friends VAIO and i cant seem to figure out what is wrong with it. The internal speakers dont even register. There is no volume control at all. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS WRONG.


    The model is the VGN-TX770.
    Its the small but wide screen.

    Did you try reinstalling the drivers for the speakers? Go to sony's support website and download the latest updates.

    sounds like the Sound card is broken, When you boot the computer the Vaio Splash screen should appear and make a beep noise, if it dosent then your hardware is stuffed.
