    Panasonic Toughbook CF-47

I want to upgrade the RAM, Hardrive and possibly a faster Processor.

So far it has 320 RAM, 10G Hardrive, and Pentium 3 Processor 498 MHz

I would like to have more Hardrive capacity for sure.

My laptop has panels all over the back where you just pop them off and you can see the hardrive, ram, ect. I just need to know where to buy the parts and just how much I can upgrade, if I can upgrade.

    Please help,
    Phox

Not sure why you would want to spend (or throw away) money upgrading such an old notebook. The whole notebook probably is worth around $100 total, and upgrades are going to cost you a lot more than the notebook's total value.

you'll need PC100 memory ram type, those are kind of getting rare and costly, I think average was 50$ for just a 256mb ram.

You have to know what is the max supported ram you can put and how many slots. Yours might have only 1 slot and an onboard. And you gotta know whats the max gb hardrive can your laptop bios support. This notebook is so long I can't really find the specifications.

In my guess your notebook migh support a 40 gb, and try look for 5400rpm for a better performance.

Well, it might not be powerful like current notebooks but its reliable. Panasonics Toughbook is an ideal laptop for anyone that wants a reliable, strong machine that is spill proof, dust proof, shock proof. And most of the current isnt strong like the Toughbook. I do say keep it. :)

Unfortuntely, you already have the maximum of RAM, 320 MB, according to Crucial. And already *I think* gotten the max of CPU also.

You can upgrade the HD. But it may costly. Here is one of them.

    The 30 GB model.

Okay thanks, I just downloaded some of my videos off my camera and it plays them fine. I originally got the laptop to teach myself programming skills like C+/Java/Linux ect. However I like to play with my pictures at the same time. ((My camera cost more than the laptop lol!)) Thanks for your advice!

I would give $100 for it. I know I have several tech who would easily give me profit on it. my techs use them for gps, internet installs, on the go apps in thier trucks.
