The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

To upgrade your RAM, we'd need to know what model notebook you have, and with that information, you could actually go to a site like www.crucial.com and find the type of memory that you'd need yourself.

As for your password, we can't help you with that here, as discussion of password cracking and other methods of getting past security is specifically forbidden by forum rules.

Discussion of bypassing passwords is not allowed on this forum so I am closing this thread. Feel free to make a new thread for upgrading the ram if you'd like.
