How does 2800/1700MB sounds like? Or up to 450 000 IOPS? Intel is ready to show us who is the king.

    All SSDs listed here

Intel Pro 2500 Series - Codename "Temple Star"

    Coming out Q2 2014

Intel DC P3700 Series - Codename "Fultondale"
    Coming out Q2 2014
Notice that the drive itself is ribbed. That is because under full load it will draw 25W.

Intel DC P3500 Series - Codename "Pleasantdale"

    Coming out in Q2 2014

Eh, I'll wait for a confirmation on what controllers they use before I pass judgement.

Just curious, do you have a link?

I'd still rather have an Intel-made controller or something that has a better history than Sandforce, such as Samsung's gear. Besides, the SF-2281's compression tricks for performance is something I don't like (I have the Intel 330) and I'd personally rather have a controller that didn't rely on such tricks for performance (as well as being reliable).

On that note, I'm surprised my 330 is still going along just fine. Slow, but still working.

I'm a sorcerer, and yes sandforce is my sorcery without an apparent reason

coherently the thread right below this with the heading "PNY xxxx" seems interesting, and it relates to some sandforce failures 4 times in a row where yours are still functioning

I hope we see this one. Intel's Pro1500 line, which also featured a 180GB 42mm M.2 drive, was "launched" a few months ago yet is still not available anywhere.
