    I planned on buying an HP elitebook 8740w and I have a graphics card from my old sager np2962; it's a quadro 3700m. I was wondering if I could swap the card in the Hp on for it?

    lol i think u might be able to.. he meant Sager NP9262 which has an MXM card.. Hp's 8740 uses MXM i think... both use same spec 3.0B i think so u might be able to swap as long u flash the 3700m to a hp 3700m vBIOS.

    There are several other factors to consider when upgrading a notebook GPU, not just MXM variant.

    HP does everything they can to stop this from happening, that includes integrating the vbios into the system bios sometimes.
