Whenever I plug in a USB device into my DM4 (see sig) I hear something of a high-pitched sound. I was going through the power settings in the control panel and came across the USB selective suspend setting. It was enabled for both batter and power, to my surprise when I disabled them the laptop began to emit the high-pitched sound. It seems as if if the USB ports aren't suspended/disabled, the machine emits the high-pitched sound. I know this is an issue with a lot of i-series laptops, at least HPs, so I wonder if I stumbled across something here. I was wondering maybe if something is disabled/enabled somewhere in the settings or device manager we could get this high-pitch sound eliminated. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
