Hey guys, I was just wondering if a SATA 2 - USB 3.0 enclosure for a regular SATA 2 7200RPM hard drive would be worth it? Cause I have a regular USB 2.0 enclosure but my new laptop would support USB 3.0, so I'm thinking of getting a USB 3.0 enclosure to go with it but if there won't be much difference with regard to file transfer, then I'd just stay with my USB 2.0 enclosure. Basically the factor I'm considering is if the SATA 2 hard drive will bottleneck the USB 3.0 5GB/s port anyway? Whatever info is welcome. Thanks! :)

Yes t would be worth it, most drives can achieve something around 80-100mb/s so triple the performance of the USB 2, that thing has been a savior and a killer at the same time

I would say a new enclosure would be worth it, more speed at transferring files, not to mention you can multitask better (watch a movie off the hdd, access files, and more without any slowdowns on the external)
