I have a nice Asus U36SG with a cracked screen. It uses a 40 pin LVDS connector. I am trying to find the best replacement screen to use. Two questions here:

    1) I have a 30 pin CHI MEI N133HSE-EA1 screen but the laptop connector has 10 extra pins. Is it possible to get a cable to make this work, or is this screen incompatible? It is only 30 pins but claims to be 1920x1080, so I'm a little suspicious that it is possible to use.

    2) What is a good 1080p screen to look for? For example, could I drop in an LG LP133WF6-SSA1 (assuming I can find one for under $250!)

    Thanks!
