Given the same price, same other specs, which would you choose? I am torn between the two...

it just depends I would pick the turion given the intel notebook has the GMA integrated graphics but if the intel notebook has at least a radeon xpress 200m then I would probably go with that. most amd systems have the 6150 or the xpress 1150 which is a much better integrated card thus giving better performance, however the intel should give better battery life. so all in all I would probably lean toward the AMD system.

The 1501 has the latest ATI Radeon 1150. I'd go with that. Plus the Turion is 64-bit capable and you'd have to step up to a Core2Duo to get that from Intel. Avoid Intel GPUs whenever possible.

    I have it configured from their small business site for $724 w/ TL-56, 15.4 w/ TrueLife, 1GB, 120GB HDD, ATi 1150, 8X DVD-RW

you don't have to prove you're a business or anything to order from their small business site, right?

well i found out for myself that, no, you do not need to prove you own a small business to buy from them...

I hope the TL-56 is faster than the Core Duo... either way, once I get Vista x64 running, it'll blow the 1.6GHz Core Duo away
