I have an Alienware m15x with a 1 gb intel turbo memory card. Is there a hack to enable user pinning for this card?

what do you mean by user pinning?
Do you want to physically solder more memory to it or something like that?

    Sorry about that misunderstanding

Anyways, give more specifics on what you want to do and people here will be able to help.

Actually his posts have been over the course of 8 days (18th, then 20th, then today)

As to what hes looking to do.
In the intel Turbo memory 2.0 The end user can "pin" programs to the turbo memory to make sure they load better rather than let the turbo memory drivers pick them all for you.

Its a pretty neat trick that allows you to choose where you want the extra speed to go verse just hoping your favorite programs get accelerated with the turbo memory.

As to the hack... i havent heard of any. Have you tried just updating the drivers to ver 2.0?

Thanks for the link, Sphinx. I will try that when I get home. I tried all the searches I could think of without getting there. If anyone can answer MexicanSnake's question I am also interested in that.

Thanks Kamin for pointing out that I am not a total forum newb :). I'm glad I did decide to drop back by this forum after giving up.
