I just rummaged through my old junk and found a 80gig hard drive(WD Cavier 800bb) and i wanted to hook it up to my toshiba satellite. I was wondering what kind of enclosure i should be looking for? USB or Firewire. Thanks alot for any future posts.

I recommend zynet enclosures ( also marketed as sweex ) , you'll pay more for firewire but do you really need it ? USB is much more common and will work even with "old" laptops and computers .

BTW I have one genric alumiium with palastics on the ends 3.5" enclousre with 80gb WD 7200 and its **** , thats why I post here , I bought it cause I needed one fast , it works but the screws holes didnt last one day and it falls apart , its so cheaply made so be carefull .

3.5 inch is a typical desktop hard drive. 2.5 inch is the common laptop size. 1.8 inch is a small laptop size, used in some ultraportables because of size.
