Hi, the DVD combo drive on my Toshiba Satellite 2415 crapped out, so I bought a replacement drive from eBay. The drive is a Teac DW-224E, and is used for HP as well as certain Toshibas. I changed the connector, and the rails, but on booting up, the first thing it displays is "IDE ERROR #1". it then boots up normally, but the CD drive doesn't appear in my computer, nor do the lights on the drive come on, and the drive door won't open. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Can you link us to the eBay listing? Chances are you either failed to notice the drive advertised as faulty, or you have just been conned and should get your money back via Paypal.
