What other ram cards can I use in a Toshiba Satellite L505-S5998

I has PC2-6400S and they cost too much to buy.

It has a Max amount of 8GB it can have it in.

What other PC2 ram cards can I use? I need to find cheaper ones.

8GB of PC2-6400S cost more then the laptop did.

You can try any DDR2 RAM you can find cheaply. No guarantees what may work with your M/B, BIOS and CPU though.

What do you have in it now (capacity)? What O/S are you running? What workloads do you expect to do with this system?

Depending on your answers above; 8GB of '6400S may be worth it - even if it more than doubles the purchase price of the system (btw, what did it cost you?).
