Yesterday I purchased this Toshiba laptop, and right out of the box I had trouble with it. I was trying to load Microsoft Office and it would not complete the installation. It would stop in the middle and would not continue. I tried several times and got the same result. I would go and look at the D-drive and it would not recognize the CD. It gave me an I/O error. I retried this about 10 times before for some odd reason MS Office finally loaded. I'm a little concerned with this happening right out of the box. Does Toshiba have issues when it comes to overall quality? Can anyone tell me about Toshiba's customer service? I'm thinking about returning it and purchasing the HP dv5220us laptop. Can anyone give me some advice?

If you can return that to the place you purchased it from, I would do so. The HP will have better quality.

Why not call Toshiba? They actually have good tech support according to a survey by PC Mag.
