They are almost exactly the same except the Asus is not only 1" larger, but has a much higher dynamic contrast ratio. I also like the thinner bezel and looks of the Asus better. so there's my 2 cents. ;)

Edit: Uh oh, the Asus uses up 60W of power, but the LG only uses 42W! :p

Those contrast numbers are half made up anyway.

Na, I doubt you would notice the difference at all.

The difference in power consumption is significant when you see that the Asus is only one inch larger. On the other hand it has integrated speakers... not that anyone cares.

    I would get the LG.

    I would get the LG.
    Reasons:
1.- Quite significantly higher dynamic contrast ratio
2.- Looks sleeker than the Asus
    3.- Lower power consumption

Only reason to get the Asus I would think is if you have poor eyes and would appreciate the lower DPI (since it's same resolution but larger screen size).

There really isn't much difference between the two anyway, and given that they are the same price, I think it really doesn't matter which one you end up going with.

Well the contrast ratio makes no difference. I thought the Asus looked sleeker and more square for a multi monitor setup, but looks are subjective anyway. Power consumption doesn't matter too much either. I would think the Asus would at least have better resell value since it's a 24". I still think the Asus edges out the LG.
