In the epic struggle between Vostro and Inspiron, I've hit a slight snag. Basically, I can now choose between either a 160 GB, 5400 RPM Hard Drive with 3 Gigs of RAM in the Vostro, or a 160G 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with 2 Gigs of RAM in the Inspiron. Both are relatively similar in price. Any suggestions? Will having three gigs of RAM disallow Dual Channel, and thus, ultimately hurt me? I'll also get different versions of Vista in each.

These are questions I need to pretty much answer today, so feel free to IM me at thegodfather172.

I have 3 Gigs in my desktop now and have never used more than 40% of it at one time, dont know if this would differ in a laptop however.
