    Hey,

my brother dropped his IBM Thinkpad T30 on the floor.

Since then the display doesn´t work anymore. You can hear the notebook starting up and by using an external screen you can even work with it.

However the display itself doesn´t work. When turning on the notebook the display shows a short colorful flicker. Then the display remains completely dark. I already changed the broad display cable because I thought it might be a loose contact. No effect. There are two other small cables from the motherboard to the display, I didn´t change these yet.

There are various other possibilities now. The displays inverter, the motherboard or just the whole display. Do you have any suggestions what I might change or try next?
Is it possible to check the voltage levels of the plugs on the motherboard?

    regards
    Jerome
