I own a ThinkPad X60 and am fairly pleased with it, but today the backlight was disabled mysteriously.
In the car today, during a stop the notebook case accidentally banged against the console box and fell to the floor, but I paid it no heed (it is a ThinkPad, right?).
Well, after I put it to sleep later today, when it woke up I found that the backlight was disabled. I had to remove the battery and power it up again for it to work. I also found that the backlight is only disabled when the OS boots up, and before that it is on. Even after trying to fix it in the BIOS setup, however, I had no luck, and would guess that this problem is attributed to Windows Vista. Please help!
