    Hi, everyone.

I was looking around and I saw this externals called Seagate Backup Plus Slim (2TB), with the serial code STDR200030X (x denotes the colour)

From the forums i've known that the previous batches, serialed at STDR200020X (notice the 2) has the HDD connected to the USB3.0 via an adapter, therefore enabling the HDD to be extracted and be used in laptops.

May I know if anyone has successfully bought a STDR200030X series and if the HDD can be extracted to be used in SATA the same way as its predecessor serial?

Can you give a link to the product? How long is it? If it is shorter than the 113mm of the STDR200020 then there won't be room for the separate USB 3.0 interface adapter.

The unknown is the difference between the STDR200030X and the STDR200020X. They appear to have the same length so there is room for the SATA-USB adapter. But it seems that no one has pulled the STDR200030X apart. I've looked inside an STDR200020X which I bought this year and the HDD is SATA.
