For general PC usage not involving intensive mathematical calculations, will a difference be noticed in speed and reliability between a T5470 and T7300?

Have PC with T5500 and screen capture (like MSFT Power Point) with audio is at about 12% CPU usage which is probably the highest CPU usage that is done.

For a general use PC (Media, word processing, browsing, etc), no, you will probably not feel the difference between a T5470 and T7300.

You can never have a computer that's too fast. Get the fastest parts your budget will allow so you aren't stuck with poor or no performance with what shows up in the future.

The difference will only be felt in processor dependant tasks. In normal tasks such as word processing, and surfing the Internet, there won't be any noticible difference between the two. However, the T7300 is a very recommended processor, as it has the best price to performance ratio. If your bugdet allows, it may be useful to consider that processor.
