Hi. I have one last question before I buy more memory. I found on zipzoom fly a model from Kingston that's not tailored to any specific system, but from their value ram range. The specific charactersitics seem to be the same as the memory that would be specific for my system, but almost half the price. Does anyone have bad experiences from getting memory that's not system specific, and what would you advise me to buy? Particularly I have in mind model KVR533D2S4/1G (interestingly I did a search on Kingston's site for this model number and they didn't have it). My notebook is HP pavilion zd8000, so if anyone tried mathcing these two things that would be particularly useful. Thanks,

    Bill

As long as it's the right pin count and speed, you're going to be okay. Kingston is a good brand, no worries there.
